Understanding The Don Croft-Inspired Method
At True Orgonite, we draw inspiration from the layered orgonite-making approach popularised by Don Croft — one of the most recognised figures in the modern orgonite community.
This method is based around three core materials:
- Resin
- Metal
- Crystal
These are often combined inside handcrafted shapes inspired by sacred geometry, including pyramids, tower busters, discs, charging plates, pendants, and other handmade forms.
The central idea is material balance: an organic resin matrix, conductive metal content, and quartz-based crystal inclusions working together within one structured piece.
The Core Concept
In Don Croft-inspired orgonite construction, each material has a role.
Resin forms the organic matrix and holds the piece together as it cures.
Metal acts as the inorganic component, creating density, structure, and conductive material presence within the piece.
Quartz crystal is commonly included because of its piezoelectric properties and its traditional role within orgonite making.
Many creators describe the process simply as:
Resin attracts.
Metal repels.
Crystal organises.
This is a simple way of explaining the traditional idea behind orgonite construction: interaction between organic and inorganic materials, with crystal at the centre of the design. To learn more about what each crystal contributes, read our guide to the crystals inside orgonite.
True Orgonite presents this as part of the history, craft, and maker tradition of orgonite. We do not present orgonite as a medical device or make exaggerated claims about what it can do.
Why The Metal Ratio Matters
At True Orgonite, we encourage creators to use a strong metal-to-resin balance.
Our preferred platform standard is:
Minimum 50% metal-to-resin ratio where suitable for the design.
This helps create a dense, material-rich structure rather than a mostly decorative resin piece with only a small amount of metal inside.
Common metals used by creators include copper, brass, aluminium, steel, bronze, iron-based shavings, and mixed metal curls or powders.
These may be combined with quartz, shungite, black tourmaline, amethyst, rose quartz, lapis lazuli, malachite, citrine, and other natural minerals depending on the creator's style and intention. For a size and weight reference to help gauge material density, see our orgonite pyramid size to weight chart.
Why Quartz Matters
Quartz is one of the most important materials in traditional orgonite construction.
Quartz is piezoelectric, meaning it can generate a small measurable electrical charge when placed under pressure. This is one reason quartz has been used in technologies such as watches, microphones, and other precision devices.
Inside orgonite, quartz is commonly placed within resin, where it becomes part of the cured structure.
Many orgonite makers consider this an important part of the craft.
Handmade With Intention
Every True Orgonite creator brings their own creativity, materials, geometry, craftsmanship, and process into each handmade piece.
No two creations are exactly alike.
Some makers focus on heavy metal density. Some focus on sacred geometry. Some focus on crystal combinations. Some focus on artistic beauty and symbolic meaning. Some create practical tower busters, while others create detailed display pieces.
This individuality is part of what makes handmade orgonite different from mass-produced resin products. Learn more about how we vet our creators to ensure quality and honest representation.
Education Over Hype
At True Orgonite, our focus is education, open exploration, craftsmanship, and community learning.
We do not believe in fear-based marketing or exaggerated claims.
Instead, we encourage people to learn about the history, materials, construction methods, and creator stories behind each piece. Read more about electromagnetic fields and orgone energy or explore what orgonite is and where it comes from.
The more people understand, the easier it becomes to recognise genuine handmade orgonite and avoid low-quality imitation products.
From Belief To Knowledge
True Orgonite is more than a marketplace.
We are building an education hub, a media platform, a creator network, and a global community for people interested in genuine handmade orgonite, crystal tools, tensor tools, sacred geometry, and material-based craft.
Our mission is to support real independent creators while helping customers make informed choices. Not sure where to start? Read our guide on how to choose the right orgonite for your home or office.
Knowledge over belief.
